Founder & CEO

Jacqueline Hanoman, PhD

Jacqueline is the founder and CEO, lead researcher, and organizational transformation expert. She is passionate about meaningful work that enhances quality of life in communities, strengthens organizations, and helps people develop their own potential. As a community and organizational development specialist, nonprofit leader, community-engaged scholar, educator, and university professor, she has addressed multidimensional poverty and systemic inequities in Venezuela, South Africa, and the United States. From December 2015 to March 2026, she served as Executive Director of the Ross Community Center in Muncie, Indiana, leading its transformation into a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization. She has received awards for nonprofit and academic leadership and community engagement. Jacqueline earned a PhD from Purdue University; a Master’s in History of the Americas and a professional degree in Sociology from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello; and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies in Development Project Management from Universidad Metropolitana in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank. She is the author of the 2018 book Hunger and Poverty in South Africa: The Hidden Faces of Food Insecurity.

COO & Lead Analyst

John Ambrosio, PhD

John is the COO. He specializes in educational policy, political and economic analysis and philosophical inquiry. He brings his unique knowledge to underpin every project and co-creates solutions with the team that are culturally resonant and sustainable.

He received a Core Fulbright Scholar Program Award to teach and conduct research with colleagues in the Faculty of Education at the University of the Free State in South Africa. He is author of the book Educational leadership for transformation and social justice: Narratives of change in South Africa. John’s scholarship is primarily concerned with examining issues of race, equity, and social justice in education. He is currently a columnist for Three Quarks Daily, on online publication, where he writes about U.S. politics and other issues.

He is a former Associate Professor of Social Foundations in the Department of Educational Studies at Ball State University. He earned a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Washington and a Masters in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College, Portland, Oregon, as well as being in the PhD program in the Department of Sociology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and earned a B.A in Political Science from Stockton State College.
